Tour 3 - mystic EastbhutanWe travel on our KTMs into Eastbhutan, which isn't really explored by tourists until today,- a time-trip into the Middle Ages!
This photo emerged at the way to the touristic almost unexplored Eastbhutan. Tour A: 25 days: 31. 3. – 24. 4. 2006 – Tour B: 25 days: 3. – 24. 11. 2006 1st day – Arrival in Kathmandu, short transfer (ca. 5 minutes) to the nearly lain Hotel Dwarika*****, check in and relaxing, cozy dinner. 2nd day - We explore the culture metropolis Kathmandu and see some cultural highlights, the large Stupa in Boudha, the Swayambunath, Pashupatinat. Evenings in the Dwarika 3rd day - Grandiose flight along the mountains on the wings of the thunder dragon (Druk Air) to Paro/Bhutan. taking over of the motorcycles, driverbriefing, the first kilometers in the valley of Paro. 4th day - Today we see the Parotal on our KTMs, some cultural highlights. Ca. 50km or 2-3 hours to drive. 5th day - Expanse trip over Thimpu to Punakha over the Dochu La pass (3.200m), the large bridge may be subdued as well as the culminationdzong expects. Possibility of a subsequently offroadpassage. Ca. 100km or 4 hours to drive. 6th day - We explore the valleys of Punakha and Wangdue, onroadpassages change with easy offroadpassages. Evenings in the resorthotel. Ca. 80km or 4 hours to drive. 7th day - Expanse trip to Trongsa into the former power center of the Bhutan. After arrival in the grandiose lying resorthotel Yangkill, we have the possibility of driving an easy offroadpassage. Ca. 100km or 6 hours to drive. 8th day – We drive over the Yutang La, ca. 3.600m in which Bumthang,- also called the bhutanese Switzerland. The valleys become further now, a typical 'Alm'charakter enchants our eye. Ca. 100km or 5 hours to drive. 9th day – Today we have a relaxing day in Jakar, the head place of Bumthang. Little excursions on foot or on our KTMs are planned, freely after mood. Bumthang has altogether 4 valleys which are waiting to be explored by bikers. 10th day – We go further over the Trumsing La (ca. 3.800m) to Mongar and cross the same named national park. Ca. 150km or 6 hours to drive. 11th day – At the early afternoon, we go further to our most eastern tourpoint, Trashigang expects us. We find only very few tourists here, the approximately 10,000 curves are a large hurdle for most bhutantourists. Ca. 80km or 3 hours to drive. 12th day – We drive up to the north to the end of all ways, Trashi Yangtse is our goal, we explore the area in the most northeastern district. Evenings we are in a simple guest house. Ca. 100km or 4 hours to drive. 13th day – We enjoy the typical area, evenings we drive back until Trashigang where we spend the night. Ca. 100km or 4 hours to drive. 14th day – Today we begin our return trip until Mongar and rejoice again because of the fantastic curve magic. Ca. 80km or 3 hours to drive. 15th day – Today we drive back until Jakar where we find interesting purchase possibilities. Evenings we are again in the typical Jakar Lodge. Ca. 150km or 6 hours to drive. 16th day – A relaxing day, permanenty high concentrated motorcycling requires also a relaxation phase in between. 17th day – Today we drive over Trongsa into the valley of Phobjika where we see the Gangtey monastery. This high valley on 3.000m is also the winter quarter of the holy black neck cranes, absolutely protected birds with 2 meter wing chip expanses are. Ca. 150km or 6 hours to drive. 18th day – expanse trip to Thimpu, once again we drive over the Dochu La on tightly 3.200m. With good weather we can see the majestic Himalaya.The colorful weekendmarket expects us in Thimpu. Ca. 150km or 6 hours to drive. 19th day – today we discover Thimpu with its many sights and purchase possibilities. We live in a cozy city hotel and enjoy a nice day. 20th day – Today we leave the little himalayametropolis, in the afternoon we drive to Paro where the most beautiful hotel of Bhutan, a hotstonebath and our farewelldinner expects us. With a tasty beer or an acceptable glass of wine we think of our fantastic bike tour. 21st day – It's time to leave! Early in the morning, we drive to the airport by car, on the wings of the thunder dragon we disappear out of this last little buddhist paradise to Nepal. Mt. Everest greets us to the right,- a motorcycle life trip ends. Remaining day in the Dwarika. The price for our motorcycle trip to Eastbhutan: € 9.850,-- * Of course accompanying persons can also be on this tour, who can sometimes travel on the backseats of the bikes or selectively in the accompanying vehicle.
