Tour 2 - A motorcycletrip into Centralbhutan

The Centralbhutan is the destination of this trip, we pass 5 of the highest passes in the kingdom, dreamlike landscapes and extraordinary persons cross our way.

Tour A: 17. 3. - 31.3.2006 Tour B: 13.10. - 27.10.2006

1st day - arrival in Kathmandu, short transfer (ca. 5 minutes) into the nearby hotel Dwarika*****, checkin and relaxing, delicius dinner, a last drink in the fusion bar before we go to bed.

2nd day - a culture day in the Himalaya-metropolis, the large Stupa in Boudha as well as the visit of the Swayambunaths stands on the program. Also Pashupatinat,- the combustion sites of the Hindus are visitet from us.

3rd day – Flight to Paro/Bhutan with "the thunder dragon" (Drukair), along the worlds highest mountains,- surely the worlds most grandiose panoramic flight. Heartly reception from the Himalayan Adventures team and transfer to Thimpu. Overnight stay in a Cityhotel.

4th day – The biketour begins, first excursion in Thimpu to the outlook point. Further we drive to Punakha over the Dochu La Pass (3.200m), If the weather is good we can catch a lovely view of the Himalayas. Visit of the culminationdzong as well as a voluntary crossing of the cliff bridge with 140m chip expanse. Evenings in a cozy resorthotel. Ca. 100 km or 4-5 hours to drive.

5th day - Expanse trip over Wandue to Pobjika, examination of the Dzong, little offroadtrip into the mountains. Cozy evening in the resorthotel, we enjoy the good bhutanese kitchen. Ca. 100 km or ca. 4 hours to drive onroad, offroad freely after desire and mood.

6th day – Expanse trip to Trongsa over the Pele La, 3.600m, into the former center of force of the Bhutan. After arrival possibility of an offroadpassage. Ca. 100km, 4 hours to drive. Evenings in the new resorthotel Yangkill.

7th day – We drive over the Yutong La, ca. 3.600m into the Bumthang,- also called the bhutanese Switzerland. The valleys now become further. For the next 3 days we live in the Jakar Village Lodge, that became priced for its good food. Ca. 100km, ca. 4 hours to drive.

8th day - Today we conquer the valleys of the Bumthang, an excursion in the romantic and Tang-valley recommends itself. Underway there is a picnic on the green meadow, we visit the Ugyen Chölingmonastery that harbors also a museum. At the late afternoon we are back in Jakar, in the head place of the Bumthang where we live. Also a visit of the cheese and apple juice production of the Mr. Maurer from Switzerland is possible. Ca. 80 km or 4 hours to drive.

9th day - Today we make an excursion t the 2nd highest pass in the Bhutan, to the Trumsing La, 3.800m high! This will require the entire day, approximately 150 km are to be mastered. Evenings we are again back in Jakar. Ca. 7 hours to drive.

10th day - Today our return journey to Trongsa begins, again over the Yutong La, 3.600m, we make a little side trip into the a little bit warmer south. Evenings in the dreamlike beautiful lain Resorthotel Yangkill. Ca. 120 km, ca. 5-6 hours to drive.

11th day - Further we drive until Punakha, we visit the crown-prince-monastery here. Evenings in a cozy resorthotel. Ca. 100Km or ca. 4 hours to drive.

12th day - over Thimpu and the Dochu la, 3.200m, we drive until Haa (most western district of Bhutan). Evenings in a cozy guest house. Ca. 120 km, ca. 6 hours to drive.

13th day - as the ending of our motorcycle trip we subdue the Dochu La, the highest pass of Bhutan with 3,964m. Afterwawrd we drive down into the valley of Paro, today we are living in the most beautiful hotel of the country, the Zhiwa Ling,- the place of peace. Bhutanese wellness is waiting for us,- a traditional Hotstonebath with subsequent farewelldinner.

14th day - in the morninghours our thunder dragon starts to Kathmandu, we pass the highest mountains of the world and enjoy the grandiose outlook. A last day in the Dwarika, relax, shop, write the last postcards before we go home.

Of course accompanying persons can also be on this tour, who can sometimes travel on the backseats of the bikes or selectively in the accompanying vehicle. The Mayerlama,- the initiator of this motorcycle life trip,- is considered if possible to have a well-balanced Yin Yang in the respective groups.

The fine details of the respective trip programs become made basically ca. 3 months before trip start, based on partially very late put on flight schedules. (Druk Air) based on limited flight and hotel capacities, we require your registration at the latest 6 months before trip start.

Overnight stays in cozy resorthotels as well as in guesthouses according to local availability.

Visa for the stay in the kingdom Bhutan and Nepal.

Intercontinental flight to Kathmandu, airport fees in Asia, utensils of the personal requirement as well as all drinks except tea and mineral water, gasoline for the motorcycle, costs in appearance of unplaned situations (For Example: extra costs for overnight stays because of unforeseen nature effects), unforeseen costs for program changes and/or flight schedule changes. And all achievements which are not listed in the contained achievements.
